Supporting the charity pool
Suppor�ng good causes

The Marlow Santa’s Fun Run has, over the last 21 years, helped to raise
hundreds of thousands of pounds for mainly local chari�es. Last year it
was over £95,000. We simply could not do this without the help of our
sponsors – especially the Shanly Founda�on who have now been our lead
sponsor for the last 6 years. To stage this event, a considerable amount of
money has to be contractually commi�ed in advance. The support from
sponsors allows us to agree supply contracts with con昀椀dence, and to
reduce the amount of money we hold back to cover future costs. The
Rotary Clubs of Marlow wish to say a very big thank you to the Shanly
Founda�on for suppor�ng the Fun Run and their support to a wide range
of other Rotary ac�vi�es.
This is another year for So�cat as a core and very signi昀椀cant sponsor,
helping us to create a very healthy £15,000 ‘Charity Pool’. This sum is
en�rely distributed to chari�es nominated by entrants and makes their
fundraising e昀昀orts even more worthwhile. The Clare Founda�on, the Heart
of Bucks Founda�on and Grundon Waste management also repeated last
year's support: So a big thank you to all.
The Charity Pool is now a major feature of the Fun Run helping us to
donate a massive amount to charity every year. Many other sponsors,
supporters and adver�sers can also be found throughout this programme,
and together they have commi�ed over £23,000 in sponsorship to the
2025 cause - which of course helps to swell the amounts we raise for
charity. We sincerely thank every organisa�on for their help!
