Supporting the charity pool

The Marlow Santa’s Fun Run has, over the last 20 years, helped to raise hundreds of
thousands of pounds for mainly local chari�es. Last year it was over £72,000. We
simply could not do this without the help of our sponsors – especially the Shanly
Founda�on who have now been our lead sponsor for the last 5 years.
To stage this event, a considerable amount of money has to be contractually
commi�ed in advance. The support from sponsors allows us to agree supply
contracts with con昀椀dence, and to reduce the amount of money we hold back to
cover future costs.
The Shanly Founda�on also support the Cookham Rega�a (again organised by a
local Rotary Club) - another wonderful community event. The Rotary Clubs of
Marlow wish to say a big thank you to the Shanly Founda�on.
This is another year for So�cat as a core sponsor – helping us to create a very
healthy £15,000 ‘Charity Pool’. This sum is en�rely distributed to chari�es
nominated by entrants and makes their fundraising e昀昀orts even more worthwhile.
The Clare Founda�on and the Heart of Bucks Founda�on also repeated last year's
support, and they have been joined by new ‘Charity Pool’ sponsors - the ACI Group,
Community Impact Bucks and Bucks New University. The Charity Pool is now a major
feature of the Fun Run helping us to donate a massive amount to charity every year.
Many other sponsors, supporters and adver�sers can be found later on in this
programme. Together, this year, they have commi�ed over £22,000 to the cause –
which of course helps to swell the amounts we raise for charity. We sincerely thank
every organisa�on featured in this programme.
