Rotary 2025 Inter-Schools
Mathemagician Compe��on
Year 4 students from Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
schools competed against each other in a mathemagician contest,
where teams of three had to use their mathema�cal,
communica�on and teamwork skills to solve a series of problems
quickly.
The winners Waltham St Lawrence School were presented with a
shield,book vouchers and Gold cer�昀椀cates by Mayor Cllr Simon
Bond, 昀氀anked by Club President Mark Loader. Wessex School team
came second, with Larch昀椀eld School third.
Henderson Project
Update: Progress at Last!
We’re delighted to report that,
a�er a series of unavoidable
delays — including school
holidays — real progress is 昀椀nally underway at the Henderson
School site in Zimbabwe.
Thanks to generous support, the 昀椀rst delivery of building materials
arrived last week. This marks the start of Stage 7 of the project. The
school had previously managed to complete work up to Stage 6.
Founda�ons laid - Brickwork up to damp-proof course (DPC) level
- Back-昀椀lling to prepare for the base slab
Now, with new materials on site — including plumbing supplies,
cement, and a large water storage tank — work has resumed.
